Abstract
This article explores the journey of women in law enforcement, particularly within the Indian Police Service (IPS). This paper examines the historical context, challenges faced, and advancements made by women officers in a predominantly male-dominated profession. Through a combination of empirical data, case studies, and personal narratives, it analyzes the evolving roles, contributions, and impact of women in shaping the IPS. By highlighting success stories and addressing persistent gender biases, this study aims to inspire further progress towards gender equality and diversity within the Indian law enforcement sector.
