Linguistic Axiological Elements In Film Discourse
Abstract
This article explores the integration and function of linguistic axiological elements within film discourse, arguing that language in cinema is a primary vehicle for conveying and negotiating value systems. Moving beyond purely narrative or visual analysis, this study focuses on how lexical choices, stylistic registers, dialogue structures, and rhetorical devices encode axiological meanings-such as cultural, moral, ideological, and aesthetic values-that shape audience perception and interpretation.
