Abstract

This article examines a pressing issue in modern criminology – enhancing the effectiveness of scientific research and ensuring the practical implementation of its results—through the lens of advanced international practices. The study substantiates the need to move beyond traditional descriptive approaches in criminological research toward interdisciplinary methods, including digital modeling of criminogenic situations, territorial forecasting of crime, and the analysis of socio-psychological determinants of criminal behavior. Furthermore, the research evaluates existing needs within national practice and proposes priority directions for improving the organization and effectiveness of criminological research.
